Ciaramella of Scapoli

The Ciaramella of Scapoli (biffera in dialect) has 9 digitable holes (8 front, 1 rear).
It is traditionally played in tandem with the key bagpipe; The ciaramella is entrusted with the execution of the melody while the bagpipe performs the accompaniment.
The woods used for the construction of the ciaramella are olive and cherry.
