Benas (Sardinia)

Sa Bena, in the plural Is Benas is one of the many instruments of the Sardinian musical tradition that falls into the category of aerophone instruments, i.e. instruments whose sound is produced by the vibration of the air that passes inside the instrument itself.
Is Benas are played today, mainly in the central area of ​​Sardinia, but the origins of this instrument can be dated back to around 3000 years ago, and we know that Sa Bena was an instrument that was particularly used by shepherds.
